MKP-Elders in Germany but not in Lliber

Being in a circle of MKP-Elders from Germany, England and France I could reconnect with the energy of the 4 archetypes. For us who call ourselves the "New Warriors" they are the energies of the Warrior, the Lover, the King and the Magician. Each archetype has its own shadow. If you want to know more about the archetypes go to the website of Robert Moore (http://www.robertmoore-phd.com/)
It was refreshing to be able to connect to men who prefer not to speak about the weather, football, cars and other superficial things.
I was able to go through a process that went very deep into the areas where I keep my darkest shadows hidden. The influence of the stream of strong emotions on my body was overwhelming. Meanwhile Béatrice had stayed with German friends and coming back to her on Sunday evening she told me I had a bad breath. Some of you know that I study biochemistry after Dr. Schuessler. Therefore I could recognize my bad breath as a very clear symptom of a sudden deficiency of the Natural Tissue Salt (or mineral) called Kalium Phosphoricum nr 5. Immediately I started taking tablets of this natural mineral combined with Natrium Chloratum nr 8.
If you want to know more about Natural Tissue Salts, have a look at my blog http://brunosminerals.blogspot.com/

Where do we walk on Sunday 03.07.2011?
I called Jeni in Oliva and she told me she had been listening to the Vox Populi.
Vox Populi is very easy to understand for English speaking people. It means the voice of the people. Have a look at the Latin word Vox, which gives us voice in English, voix in French, voce in Italian, voz in Spanish and voz in Portuguese. There is a clear link between English and so many other languages, while in my mother tongue Vox Populi is "De stem van het volk". As you can see no link whatsoever, except with the German Die Stimme des Volkes.
OK, what did the Vox Populi of the walking friends said?
"We want to walk in Lliber", it said.
Fine!
I went to see the owners of the bar located in front of the church in Lliber and Yes they are willing to stay open on the Sunday evening.
Therefore my suggestion goes as follows:
On Sunday 03.07.2011 we meet at the Centre de Salud in Lliber, leave at 19.30, walk during at least 1,5 hour and then have a drink and some tapas in the bar.
Whaddoyousay?

I am sending you lots of good energy.

Working student Anaïs

From 1962 till 1966 I studied at the state university of Gent. Between myself and the vast majority of my fellow students there was an enormous difference.
Most of them were leading a comfortable life while I was a working student. With my (deceased) friend Renaat Willockx we founded the first working student trade union in Gent and organized the first action.
We wanted to earn 0,60 € instead of 0,50 € per hour.
We won.
Besides working as a waiter and as an assistant to a professor who wanted to help a married student, my most lucrative job was working as a fashion model. Compared to the 0.60 € I was earning per hour as a waiter, the manufacturers of leisure wear paid me a whopping 25 € per hour.
Nowadays (june 2011) my granddaughter is a working student too. She is selling ice cream and snacks on the beach in Southern France. The French news channel TF1 devoted 2 minutes to her.
Have a look at Anaïs pulling her cart and admire her hat on the following link:

The (in)significance of words

Some authors like for instance Karen Armstrong write about how humans are meaning-seeking creatures. Yes, as far as I am concerned I think I am a meaning-seeking human being. Looking for what is the meaning or the purpose of my life is a fascinating process for me. What is my life’s mission on this planet? During my MKP (ManKindProject) training I was invited to formulate my life’s mission. Out came: I create a world of abundance by learning and teaching.
So, yes, very often I am thinking about the meaning of my life?
Are you?
Some authors write about the fact that unless we find some pattern of significance in our lives, we fall very easily into despair. Look at the fast rising consumption of tranquilizers, sleeping pills and anti-depressants in the Western World and it is clear for me that hundreds of millions of fellow human beings are nowhere near finding a meaning in their lives. Many of these people living in despair have dogs. Dogs are willing to be the healers of their owners in spite of what the humans do to them.
In the quest for a meaning in our lives Language plays an important part. It is not only a vital means of communication for us, but it helps us to articulate and clarify the turbulence of our inner world. We use words when we want to make something happen outside ourselves: we give an order or make a request and, one way or the other, everything around us changes, however infinitesimally. But when we speak we also get something back: simply putting an idea into words can give it a lustre and appeal it did not have before. Language is mysterious. When a word is spoken, the ethereal is made flesh; speech requires incarnation – respiration, muscle control, tongue and teeth. Language is a complex code, ruled by deep laws that combine to form a coherent system that is imperceptible to the speaker, unless he or she is a trained linguist. But language has an inherent inadequacy. There is always something left unsaid; something that remains inexpressible. Our speech makes us conscious of the transcendence that characterizes human experience.
All this affects the way we communicate with each other.
You are now reading what I have written. It means that we are communicating with each other be it indirectly.
As I have been writing articles for more than 40 years I often find that I can express myself more clearly with written words than with spoken words.
When I develop my thoughts while writing I can delete and change what was written as many times as I want.
When I speak, I cannot do that. Speaking I constantly have to make an effort to be as clear as possible in the present moment. Words are extremely important for a writer and for a speaker.
But there is a difference. When you read what I have written you cannot see my body language. When we meet and speak to each other, you can read my body language. It is my assumption that most of us have never learned how to read body language or if they can read it they neglect its significance, because we have been taught that WORDS are of the utmost importance.
Let’s now look at a newly born puppy.
This puppy is blind and deaf but can nevertheless immediately find mother’s belly and teats. The puppy can do this because it can SMELL the mother and FEEL her calm assertive energy. After two weeks the puppy will be able to SEE and only after three weeks will (s)he be able to HEAR.
Let me repeat what the order of importance is in the puppy’s world: SMELL, FEEL, SEE, HEAR.
OK.
Now what do most dog owners do with a pup?
They TALK to or even YELL at her/him and are surprised when this “bad” dog does not understand the words they are using.
This is the cause of the classic misunderstanding between dog owners and their pets.
It reminds me of a scene I witnessed many years ago in the restaurant of the club nautico in Moraira where an English person was yelling the word FISH at a Spanish waiter. The tourist obviously thought that the louder he yelled the better it would be.
The waiter felt obviously very uncomfortable and the English tourist got more and more angry.
Back home, he must have told a story about a “bad” waiter who did not understand him when he was clearly using the word FISH for what he wanted to eat.
Now make the comparison between this tourist and the waiter on the one hand and a yelling dog owner and a pup on the other.
What kind of a dog owner are you?
Do you prefer to TALK and YELL at your dog or do you read her/his body language, offer her/his your leadership and calm assertive energy?

Tunnelwalk
This coming Sunday 26.06.2011 I will not walk with you. I am spending the weekend in Germany at the European Elder Meeting of MKP-Elders. I am very grateful to my MKP brothers in the UK who invited me to become a member of their circle. During three days I will feel the loving energy of a brotherhood, smell the fragrance of a German wood, witness the work we do and listen to brothers speaking their truth.

Alex stepped forward in order to be your guide in Orba this coming Sunday. She will leave the parking space in the river bed around 19.15 and wait for you on the old parking area at the Orba cemetery till 19.00 in case you have never been on this walk before.
Alex went to see the owner of the Pizzeria La Piscina in Orba and she confirms that, after the walk, you can have a meal there in the company of your dogs.
In case you want to phone her, dial 663 261 426.

I wish you all a pleasant walk.

Making conscious choices / Domingo 19.06.2011

Why do we have dogs?
In order to create problems?
In order to create unhappiness?

Obviously we want to create happiness in our lives and in the lives of our dogs.
That implies the action of conscious choice-making.
You and I are essentially infinite choice makers. In every moment of our existence we are in the field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices. Some of these choices are made consciously, while others are made unconsciously. The best way to understand and maximize the use of this karmic law is to become consciously aware of the choices we make in every moment.

Whether you like it or not, everything that is happening to you now at this very moment is a result of the choices you have made in the past. Unfortunately, a lot of us make choices unconsciously and therefore we do not think they are choices - and yet, they are.
If I were to insult you, you would most likely make the choice of being offended. If I were to make you a compliment, you would most likely make the choice of being pleased or flattered. But you could also make the choice of NOT being offended or you could make the choice of NOT letting that flatter you either.
Most of us have become bundles of conditioned reflexes that are being triggered by people and circumstances into predictable outcomes of behavior.
These conditioned reflexes are like Pavlovian conditioning.
If you step back for a moment and witness the choices you are making as you make those choices, then in just this act of witnessing, you take the whole process from the unconscious realm into the conscious realm.
This procedure of conscious choice-making and witnessing is very empowering.

My suggestion is:

next time when you say your dog goes BERSERK (an interesting Icelandic word meaning "bear-coat") or when you say that your dog goes MAD,
step back and witness why you use these words. Is your dog really MAD? Or is (s)he telling you something you do not fully understand.
Your dog is always very clear in her/his communication.
If you are conscious about what you have done or what has happened and what it really means for your dog, then you will start understanding her/him much better than before.

Walk in Jalón 19.06.2011

Thank you Trevor for showing us the way around Benimeli.
The pizzeria in Orba will be closed this coming Sunday. Thank you Alex for taking the trouble of checking this out.
My suggestion is to accompany me on an evening walk in my beautiful Jalón. We will meet at the Oficina de Turismo where I will leave at 19.30 and after a bit more than an hour we will end up at the bars on the plaza Las Ocas.
On Sunday evenings litterally hundreds of youngsters are visiting the Telaraña bar. So there might not be a lot of parking space available. For that reason it might be advisable to park in the river bed.

Dogs are my teachers

Dear friends,

Over the years I discovered how much I could learn from dogs. Dogs are honest, do not blame, do not criticize, do not moan and do not judge. This means they are certainly not humans as we do these things all the time.
Obviously I am not the only one to have discovered that.
In the Daily Mail of Tuesday, April 26,2011 there was an article titled "Can Your Dog Teach You The Secret Of Happiness?" My answer is YES.
David Leafe the author of the article speaks about "Clever Dog" a new unusual self-help book by Ryan O'Meara.(Veloce Publishing)
He suggests that our most faithful companions can teach us much about finding happiness and fulfilment. "Dogs know that life is too precious to go into battle over something trivial", he says. "But people do it all the time."
"If we lost our petty pride , we'd get more done and waste less time - and the world would be a better place."

Well it is sort of comforting for me to read that I am not the only one to have arrived at the conclusion how much we can learn from our dogs.
Read that book!

Sunday 12.06.2011.

First of all I want to thank Susan for organizing the walk in Rafol d'Almunia and for introducing us to the quiet location of bar La Piscina.

Trevor has stepped forward in order to be our guide in Benimeli.
We will meet at the Farmacia in Benimeli
NOT in the morning
but at 19.30 IN THE EVENING.

See you there.

Un abrazo de Bruno

The Power of the Dog by Rudyard Kipling

Hello Bruno,
Thanks for your email.
Here is what Rudyard Kipling thought after he lost his dog,
Regards,
Alex and Virginia Hunter

The Power of the Dog

THERE is sorrow enough in the natural way
From men and women to fill our day;
And when we are certain of sorrow in store,
Why do we always arrange for more?
Brothers and sisters, I bid you beware
Of giving your heart to a dog to tear.

Buy a pup and your money will buy
Love unflinching that cannot lie
Perfect passion and worship fed
By a kick in the ribs or a pat on the head.
Nevertheless it is hardly fair
To risk your heart for a dog to tear.

When the fourteen years which Nature permits
Are closing in asthma, or tumour, or fits,
And the vet's unspoken prescription runs
To lethal chambers or loaded guns,
Then you will find - it's your own affair, -
But ... you've given your heart to a dog to tear.

When the body that lived at your single will,
With its whimper of welcome, is stilled (how still!),
When the spirit that answered your every mood
Is gone - wherever it goes - for good,
You will discover how much you care,
And will give your heart to a dog to tear!

We've sorrow enough in the natural way,
When it comes to burying Christian clay.
Our loves are not given, but only lent,
At compound interest of cent per cent,
Though it is not always the case, I believe,
That the longer we've kept 'em, the more do we grieve;
For, when debts are payable, right or wrong,
A short-time loan is as bad as a long -
So why in - Heaven (before we are there)
Should we give our hearts to a dog to tear?
